PDB-entries can be pre-filtered on criteria like resolution, R-factor, chain length, helix-content a.s.o., or you can supply your own subset of chains to generate a representative set.

including the option to enter a subset of PDB-ID's (e.g. all globins) and run PDBselect on those.
